SAMI Secures AS9100 Certification, Elevating Standards in Quality Management Excellence
In celebration of its adherence to the quality management systems criteria for aviation, aerospace, and defense, Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a fully-owned branch of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has been granted the esteemed AS9100 certification.
With this accomplishment, the national leader in military industries localization, SAMI, has entered the distinguished ranks of global entities to secure the sought-after certification. This formal acknowledgment was attained following the successful assessment of SAMI’s quality management framework to verify that it aligns with the AS9100 international standard endorsed and overseen by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and the aviation, aerospace, and defense sectors.
Reflecting on the success, Eng. Walid Abukhaled, CEO of SAMI, remarked: “We take pride in this pivotal achievement that verifies the adherence of our quality systems to global standards while also affirming our leadership and excellence in the industry. The AS9100 certification follows an extensive examination and auditing process, which includes onsite auditor evaluations and assessments. Only a select few organizations globally have achieved this certification, as opposed to other international quality credentials.
