Albwardy Damen, a prominent provider of shipbuilding and repair solutions in the maritime, oil, and gas sectors within the Middle East, was honored as the Best New Building Yard at the 14th edition of the ShipTek International Awards 2021. This prestigious event took place at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Dubai, on June 7, 2021. The accolade was accepted by Willem Moelker, the sales & marketing director of Albwardy Damen.
The ShipTek International Maritime Awards have cemented their status as one of the most esteemed gatherings in the maritime, offshore, and oil & gas industries. This 14th edition acknowledged significant industry contributors who advanced the sector, particularly amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent market disturbances.

Nevertheless, it was also one of our busiest years for the newbuilding division. Our schedule was fully booked with the assembly and handover of two vessels, each nearly 100 meters in length. After working diligently throughout the past 18 months of the pandemic, it is a tremendous honor to receive this award.”
