Rheinmetall Canada Lands Major C4ISR Partnership with the Government of Canada

The Canadian Government has recently awarded Rheinmetall Canada a substantial support agreement related to Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR). This framework contract, currently valued at up to CAD 57 million, will span the next five years and operate through a task mechanism during this period. This agreement is vital for the sustenance of the Land Command, Control, Communication, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) program, with Rheinmetall Canada serving as the primary contractor to provide ISTAR in-service support services (ISS).

“At Rheinmetall Canada, we are excited to provide a crucial component of the ISTAR program, ” stated Mr. Stéphane Oehrli, President and CEO of Rheinmetall Canada. “This contract represents an excellent opportunity to showcase our expertise and abilities in this advanced technological field,” he continued. The ISTAR capabilities of the Rheinmetall Group are highly regarded worldwide.

The aim of the ISTAR ISS contract is to deliver the Canadian Armed Forces an ISTAR Command and Control Information System (C2IS) capability. Rheinmetall Canada will maintain and enhance this specialized capability through the support agreement.

Rheinmetall Canada was selected through a competitive process, utilizing Value Proposition and the Industrial and Technological Benefit Policy (ITB). As one of the few companies that have exceeded 1 billion dollars in ITB transactions since the policy’s inception, Rheinmetall Canada has presented an outstanding Value Proposition.
