Kongsberg Secures Massive 1.7 Billion NOK Deal for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Supply
Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (KONGSBERG) has entered into a new contract with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LMA) valued at 1.750 MNOK for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter initiative, encompassing production lots 15-17.
This agreement entails the provision of F-35 Rudders, Vertical Leading Edges, and Main Landing Gear Closeout panels for over 500 aircraft. The manufacturing of these essential components will persist through 2025 at KONGSBERG’s state-of-the-art production facilities.
“This recent agreement exemplifies KONGSBERG’s enduring collaboration and commitment to the F-35 program. The F-35 production initiative is currently operating at full production capacity, and this contract guarantees work for the next four years, while also positioning us for ongoing involvement in future production lots,” stated Terje Bråthen, EVP Aerostructures at KDA.
