“Lockheed Martin Teams Up with Oesia Group for Groundbreaking Industrial Partnership”
Lockheed Martin has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Grupo Oesía for the prospective manufacturing in Spain of PATRIOT Advanced Capability – 3 (PAC-3) missile segment enhancement components.
The Memorandum of Understanding provides Grupo Oesía the chance to produce PAC-3 MSE components for clients globally and sets the groundwork for Spain to become part of the international community of PAC-3 users.
Following an effective transfer of expertise and support, Grupo Oesía will fabricate specialized PAC-3 MSE electronic cables and harnesses for the PAC-3 MSE worldwide supply network.
“Our partnership with Grupo Oesía will deliver vital industrial capabilities to Spain, enhancing its Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) abilities against emerging threats,” stated Brenda Davidson, vice president of PAC-3 Programs at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. “We anticipate collaborating with the Spanish industrial sector and fortifying our current partnerships.”
The PAC-3 MSE will enhance the capabilities for Spanish PATRIOT battalions to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, sophisticated threats, and aircraft.
Lockheed Martin’s PAC-3 MSE interceptor is a cutting-edge missile defense system that engages incoming threats through direct contact, providing significantly greater kinetic energy on target compared to traditional blast fragmentation methods. Fifteen nations have opted for the PAC-3 for air and missile defense solutions against contemporary threats.
“This accord, the inaugural one stemming from the Strategic Collaboration Framework Agreement signed at the Paris Air Show last year, emphasizes fresh opportunities to engage in significant national and international technological deterrence initiatives,” remarked Héctor Roldán, COO of Grupo Oesía. “This latest agreement reaffirms Lockheed Martin’s confidence in our operational performance as a distinguished elite supplier.”
