Lockheed Martin Unveils Innovative Hercules Training Hub

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Lockheed Martin’s Hercules Training Center

On June 20th, Lockheed Martin commemorated the commencement of the Hercules Training Center (HTC) at its Aeronautics site, which is set to open by 2018. This state-of-the-art facility will play a pivotal role in training the next generation of air mobility pilots and crews for the C-130J airlifter and LM-100J commercial freighter.

“Our investment in the Hercules Training Center reinforces many years of collaboration between Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. It is designed to equip pilots and aircrews globally to excel in operating the C-130 platform,” stated Sandy Samuel, Vice President of Training and Simulation Solutions. “We are excited to provide added value to our customers with integrated training solutions, right here in Marietta, where the aircraft is manufactured.”

George Shultz, Vice President and General Manager of Air Mobility & Maritime Missions, emphasized, “As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the C-130, Lockheed Martin possesses unparalleled expertise regarding the Super Hercules, enabling us to offer top-notch training programs for C-130J crews. The Hercules Training Center will feature modern classroom environments, advanced training devices, and a versatile C-130J/LM-100J full mission simulator, ensuring comprehensive training experiences for all participants.
