“First Wave of Advanced PAC-3 MSE Missiles Arrives in Bahrain from Lockheed Martin”
Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has effectively completed the initial delivery of the Patriot Advanced Capability – 3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors to Bahrain.
The advanced functionalities of the PAC-3 MSE will enhance Bahrain’s aerial and missile defense systems and bolster regional security. This marks the first of multiple shipments intended to provide the PAC-3 MSE to the nation.
“PAC-3 MSE is a proven Hit-to-Kill interceptor designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, modern threats, and aircraft,” stated Brenda Davidson, vice president of PAC-3 Programs. “PAC-3 MSE will assist Bahrain in deterring emerging regional dangers and safeguarding its national sovereignty.”
PAC-3 employs Hit-to-Kill technology to neutralize threats through direct body-to-body engagement, yielding significantly more kinetic energy on the target compared to traditional blast-fragmentation tactics. Fifteen countries have opted for PAC-3 to deliver superior air and missile defense capabilities.
