“New Alliance: US and Netherlands Unveil Groundbreaking JASSM-ER Missile Pact”

U.S. and Netherlands representatives solidified a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LoA) contract to acquire Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile Extended Range (JASSM-ER). Through this contract, the Netherlands emerges as JASSM’s fifth international buyer.

“We’re privileged to collaborate with the U.S. Government to supply the Netherlands Armed Forces with a combat-tested and mission-efficient weapon system tailored to address their continuously changing strategic defense requirements,” stated Scott Redmerski, JASSM program director at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

The latest model of JASSM-ER incorporates advancements in both hardware and software, offering enhanced capabilities and more adaptable options to align with the warfighter’s shifting mission demands.

JASSM has enjoyed over 20 years of fruitful collaboration with the U.S. Air Force, delivering ongoing significant long-range, precision strike capabilities for air-to-ground operations. The combat-tested and mission-efficient weapon system is designed to eliminate high-value, well-protected targets from considerable standoff distances, ensuring aircrews remain well outside the threat range of hostile air defense systems without compromising lethality or expanse.
