Kraken and Auterion Join Forces to Revolutionize Autonomous Security Vessels

Kraken Technology Group, a frontrunner in maritime technology known for its innovative design and production of high-performance platforms, together with Auterion, the organization crafting the software-defined future of mobile robotics and driving the globe’s top drone manufacturers, have revealed a strategic alliance aimed at significantly enhancing autonomous functionalities in the high-performance littoral security vessel arena.

This collaboration is centered on the advancement and execution of modular, cost-effective autonomy software and UxV systems tailored for the marine sector. The partnership will initially prioritize the integrated autonomy framework for Kraken’s K3 SCOUT and K4 MANTA uncrewed vehicles.

Auterion’s Skynode X, AuterionOS, and an array of functionality ‘Apps’ have already been crafted and incorporated into Kraken’s K3 SCOUT USV, which is presently undergoing extensive open water testing. AuterionOS’ flexible software architecture facilitates the development of new apps as required, perpetually enhancing Kraken’s capability to meet diverse maritime operational demands.

“We are excited to extend our knowledge into the marine sector alongside visionary innovators and littoral platform specialists like Kraken. The advancements made and the success achieved thus far in developing K3’s uncrewed capabilities have been remarkable and pioneering,” stated Lorenz Meier, CEO of Auterion.

Mal Crease, Founder and CEO of Kraken Technology Group, remarked: “Partnering with Auterion on the swift development of the K3 SCOUT USV has unveiled the magnitude and scope of the technical evolution already in motion, yielding exceptional capabilities in an unprecedented timeframe. We eagerly anticipate an exhilarating future transforming littoral operations with Auterion.”
