Naval Group Launches Innovative Division: Introducing Naval Group Hellas in Greece

The newly established Naval Group Hellas branch in Greece, disclosed at the close of 2022, is now officially operational. This 100% owned Naval Group branch embodies Naval Group’s enduring-term dedication to Greece, and bolsters its expanding operations alongside Hellenic partners.

The establishment of the Naval Group Hellas branch is seamlessly woven into the initiative to enhance collaboration between Greek and French industries. Naval Group Hellas serves as the foundation of Naval Group’s sustainable presence in Greece.

This subsidiary will initiate and coordinate domestic industrial endeavors for the advantage of the Hellenic Navy. Its primary functions include:

• to optimize local partnerships with Greek enterprises regarding the FDI frigates program, and other naval initiatives;
• to execute In-Service Support operations for the FDI frigates and additional naval vessels, encompassing French Navy ships stationed in the region;
• to advance Research & Development initiatives in collaboration with Greek collaborators.
  The workforce of the company will comprise both French and Greek engineers and technicians, facilitating a transfer of expertise in the areas of naval ship construction and upkeep. Located in the Municipality of Athens, Attica, Naval Group Hellas is overseen by Benoît Chapalain, who relocated to Greece in June 2022 to steer the execution of the Hellenic Industrial Participation strategy that Naval Group implements within the framework of the ongoing FDI frigates initiative.
