“EDGE Entity LAHAB Joins Forces with PT Pindad to Elevate Ammunition Supply and Strategic Partnership”
EDGE Group subsidiary LAHAB, the UAE’s sole munitions manufacturer, in collaboration with PT Pindad, an Indonesian government-owned enterprise and one of Asia’s leading defense producers, have formalized a Letter of Intent to explore combined opportunities in establishing defense production capabilities, alongside a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the supply of defense equipment.
During the signing of the Letter of Intent, overseen by His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, at the Indonesia-UAE Business Week 2024 in Bali, LAHAB will explore pathways to enhance industrial collaboration between the two defense industries. In accordance with the MoU, LAHAB will provide defense apparatus for production objectives to PT Pindad.
These accords are vital to a sustained effort between the two nations to fortify the potential of the Indonesian defense industry and uplift bilateral commerce to USD 10 billion by 2030, in line with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
