Sierra Nevada Corporation Enhances Lebanese A-29 Fleet with Strategic Support
The Pentagon has granted Sierra Nevada Corporation a significant contract valued at $15 million aimed at the maintenance of Lebanese A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.
“This agreement currently excludes any foreign military sales (FMS) aircraft production. The initial task order will focus on supporting the Lebanon A-29 program. This award stems from a sole-source acquisition aligned with international agreements. The entire contract constitutes 100% FMS for Lebanon,” stated the Pentagon in a recent announcement.
The maintenance work will be carried out in Centennial, Colorado, and also within Lebanon. The completion of the first task order is anticipated by October 2021.
