
Serbia Bolsters Defense with Acquisition of 12 Advanced Rafale Fighter Jets
Alongside the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, Éric Trappier, today formalized an agreement in Belgrade with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, Bratislav Gašić, for the procurement of 12 Rafale jets aimed at strengthening the Air Force and Air Defence capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
This arrangement highlights the importance of the diplomatic relationship between France and Serbia, and reflects the determination of both Presidents to ensure the triumph of this partnership. It further positions the Rafale as a crucial asset for national sovereignty.
“On behalf of Dassault Aviation and our team, I express my appreciation to the Serbian authorities for the confidence they have shown by choosing the Rafale, and I assure them of our steadfast commitment to facilitate its seamless integration within the Serbian Armed Forces. Serbia’s decision to equip itself for the first time with a Dassault aircraft reinforces the Rafale’s operational excellence and its proven capability in enhancing the sovereign interests of a nation,” declared Éric Trappier.
