“ESCRIBANO M&E Unveils Innovative RWS GUARDIAN for Bulgaria’s Next-Gen Armored Forces”
The prominent Spanish defense and engineering enterprise, Escribano Mechanical & Engineering, has successfully integrated the initial four GUARDIAN Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) for the Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria.
These RWS have been installed in the 4×4 Armored Vehicles crafted by SAMEL-90 for the Bulgarian Special Operations Forces. In the upcoming months, an additional eight GUARDIAN RWS are anticipated to be added.
Specifically engineered to be mounted on a wide array of platforms and vehicles, the GUARDIAN system delivers outstanding capabilities for short and medium-range defense. Simultaneously, it ensures exceptional accuracy while firing, thanks to a newly developed stabilized system across two axes. This system is connected to the cutting-edge electro-optical technology from EM&E, enabling detection, recognition, and identification of targets at a greater distance than its rivals.
Extremely customizable due to its modular framework, this RWS stands out as an effective solution against asymmetric threats and is capable of functioning in extreme environments. This innovative design simplifies maintenance and enhances its reliability.
