A flight simulator producer headquartered in Ankara, Turkey, has supplied an Airbus A320 full flight simulator to the Antalya-based training facility of the globally recognized simulator training organization IFTC, part of Gözen Holding, in May. The installation of the equipment has been finished, and the site acceptance testing is currently in progress.
Established in 2008, IFTC is Turkey’s first autonomous full flight simulator training facility, boasting two training centers located on separate continents (one in Istanbul and another in Antalya). The centers operate five full flight simulators that encompass both Airbus A320 and Boeing B737NG aircraft models. IFTC is globally acknowledged for assisting a diverse array of airlines and stakeholders with their pilot training needs.
The order for the HAVELSAN Airbus A320 full flight simulator by IFTC was revealed earlier in May, highlighting HAVELSAN’s capability to furnish pilot training centers with industry-leading, adaptable, and swift solutions for training apparatus.
In May, a HAVELSAN-manufactured Airbus A320 full flight simulator also secured the first EASA certification of 2024, with the device being utilized by an airline in Turkey. Throughout 2023, several HAVELSAN Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators attained EASA Level D Certification. Additionally, in March 2024, HAVELSAN announced plans to increase its operations and support for airlines and simulator training facilities, including the capacity to produce up to eight full flight simulators annually as well as collaborate with airlines to enhance their simulator training operations through adaptable solutions.
HAVELSAN is particularly focused on delivering top-tier after-sales support and engaging with clients on long-term collaboration initiatives. The company is actively pursuing additional airline or training center operators to share insights regarding its offerings and distinctive solutions it can provide.
