“Rheinmetall and Lockheed Martin Unite for Global GMARS Innovation Summit”

Rheinmetall and Lockheed Martin, collaborators in the Global Mobile Artillery Rocket System (GMARS) initiative, organized a conference for global clients in Europe. This gathering united military officials, industry specialists, and defense authorities from 14 countries to explore the newest advancements related to the two-pod launcher system and long-range precision strike capabilities. Rheinmetall and Lockheed Martin are also set to conduct a live firing demonstration this summer to showcase GMARS’s proficiency.

LTG (R) Ben Hodges, the former Commander of US Army Europe, presented the keynote speech, sharing perspectives on the contemporary battlefield’s challenges and prospects. Attendees participated in a factory tour and received presentations on the GMARS launcher, its functionalities, and the variety of munitions available, including Lockheed Martin’s precision-guided ordnance.

Conversations on interoperability, a significant emphasis of the summit, illustrated how GMARS can seamlessly integrate with NATO systems like HIMARS and M270, offering a comprehensive and adaptive long-range precision strike capability. The GMARS launcher, built on the Rheinmetall HX3 vehicle, provides exceptional mobility, survivability, and adaptability, making it an optimal solution for military forces operating in dynamic environments.

The event also featured a networking segment, allowing participants to interact with industry specialists, military officials, and colleagues to address their unique needs and challenges.
“We were delighted to present the capabilities of the GMARS launcher at the summit alongside our partner Lockheed Martin,” remarked Dr. Björn Bernhard, Head of Rheinmetall’s Vehicle Systems Division. “This occasion provided a distinctive chance for European clients to gain insights into the system, its advantages, and how it can fulfill their long-range precision strike needs.”

“Lockheed Martin is dedicated to providing innovative solutions that align with the evolving demands of our clients,” stated Paula Hartley, Vice President and General Manager of Tactical Missiles at Lockheed Martin. “The GMARS program exemplifies this dedication, and we were excited to discuss its features and advantages with clients at the summit.”
