OSHKOSH DEFENSE SET TO SHINE AT GLOBAL DEFENSE EXPO 2022

Oshkosh Defense, LLC, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation located in the United States, will showcase its 4-door Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) at the World Defense Show 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exceptional vehicle will be featured in Oshkosh Defense’s display (Booth #N4). Additionally, Oshkosh will engage in the World Defense Show’s Customer Experience Demonstration Program, enabling the company to offer demo rides in the JLTV to select military and security stakeholders.

Crafted utilizing insights from the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV), the JLTV platform delivers MRAP-grade protection to counter the most common threats while ensuring top-tier off-road mobility in a compact and transportable design. So far, Oshkosh has produced over 15,000 JLTV units for the U.S. armed forces and its allies. The U.S. JLTV initiative addresses a crucial capability shortfall for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps by substituting a significant portion of the outdated up-armored HMMWV fleet with a lightweight tactical vehicle that offers remarkable protection, dependability, and off-road maneuverability.

“Gaining a tactical edge on the contemporary battlefield necessitates speed and agility to reach the fight promptly, outmaneuver adversaries, and strike decisively,” stated John Bryant, Executive Vice President of Oshkosh Corporation and President of Oshkosh Defense. “Oshkosh Defense engineered the JLTVs to manage the entire spectrum of military operations – from limited contingencies to large-scale combat engagements. It’s the sole light tactical vehicle featuring unparalleled protection and exceptional off-road mobility for combat formations.”

The JLTV can be customized with various weapon systems, depending on the mission requirements or threat landscape. The JLTV is engineered to accommodate weapons ranging from 5.56 to 30MM cannons. These can be paired with an array of medium and heavy anti-tank weapons systems, as well as air defense mechanisms.

“It is a privilege to take part in the inaugural edition of the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and we eagerly anticipate connecting with our partners and reinforcing our dedication to the region,” remarked John Lazar, Vice President and General Manager, International Programs, Oshkosh Defense. “Throughout the years, Oshkosh Defense has provided over 7,500 vehicles in the area, including numerous deployments to clients in Saudi Arabia.”

Oshkosh M-ATVs will also be showcased during the Royal Saudi Land Forces’ displays at the World Defense Show.

“With thousands of Oshkosh vehicles operational in the region and existing demand from Saudi military sectors, Oshkosh Defense is steadfastly committed to the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of enhancing national military capabilities and fostering the growth of local military and security industries,” Lazar concluded.
