“UAE Air Force Sets Sights on South Korea’s KF-21 Fighter: A Strategic Collaboration in the Skies”

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) revealed on Thursday that high-ranking officials from the United Arab Emirates Air Force toured South Korea’s advanced KF-21 fighter jet production and development sites.

The UAE delegation, headed by Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the UAE Air Force and Air Defense, visited KAI’s headquarters in Sacheon, situated 291 kilometers southeast of Seoul, as stated by the company.

The team examined the assembly lines of the KF-21 fighter jet and the FA-50 light attack aircraft.

Brigadier General Azan Ali Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Leader of the Air Warfare Center in the UAE Air Force, took part in a test flight on a KF-21 prototype.

This visit is part of initiatives to enhance defense collaboration between Seoul and Abu Dhabi.

According to the Korean firm, under a preliminary agreement forged during the visit, the UAE Air Force will have the opportunity to observe aerial exercises featuring the KF-21 and tour South Korean units that will operate the fighter jet.

The KF-21 fighter jet is slated for delivery to the South Korean Air Force next year.
