“EDGE Group Launches Production of Next-Gen Falaj Class Vessels for the UAE Navy”
Abu Dhabi Shipbuilding (“ADSB”) is delighted to declare the initiation of the fabrication of the Falaj3 Class Fast Patrol Vessels, marked by a Steel Cutting Ceremony at the ADSB Yard for the First of Class (FOC) vessel on 21st December 2022. This significant achievement signifies the successful finalization of the design stage and reaffirms ADSB’s capabilities and commitment to remain a prominent leader in military maritime construction and a strategic ally to the UAE Ministry of Defence.
In 2021, ADSB secured the contract to construct four Falaj 3 Class Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) for the UAE Navy. Together with its partners and with the invaluable assistance from the UAE Navy, it has effectively accomplished the design phase of the initiative within the designated timeline. The Falaj 3 Class of FPVs is an advanced high-speed warship equipped with cutting-edge sensors and combat systems, which will serve as a major enhancement to the operational capabilities of the UAE Navy.
