
ADSB Unveils Inaugural Vessel in the Esteemed FALAJ 3 Initiative
The EDGE Group’s division, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), the regional frontrunner in the design, fabrication, refurbishment, maintenance, and transformation of both naval and commercial vessels, commemorated a landmark achievement with the unveiling of the inaugural FALAJ 3 class ship during an event held at the ADSB dockyard. This introduction signifies a crucial step in executing the agreement with the Ministry of Defence (MOD), setting the stage for a sophisticated fleet of ships intended to bolster national security capabilities.
Under the auspices of Rear Admiral Pilot Staff Major General Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, the event gathered notable dignitaries, military personnel, and top executives from EDGE and ADSB to celebrate the vessel’s introduction.
David Massey, the Chief Executive Officer of ADSB, stated: “The introduction of the initial FALAJ3 ship reinforces ADSB’s proficiency in shipbuilding and marks a significant leap forward in providing state-of-the-art, highly advanced vessels that incorporate the latest mission systems and sophisticated armament.
