BAE Secures $137 Million Deal for Comprehensive Support of Navy’s C5ISR Operations

BAE Systems has secured a five-year agreement, potentially valued at up to $137 million, to deliver lifecycle management and ongoing support for the U.S. Navy’s command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) frameworks.

As part of this agreement, granted in November, the firm will also instruct military staff on operating the C5ISR platforms.

“Our extensive experience in C5ISR support, skilled personnel, and established resources positioned us favorably to compete for this critical assignment,” remarked Lisa Hand, vice president and general manager of BAE Systems Integrated Defense Solutions. “With our profound mission insight and dedicated specialists, we consistently assist our military clients in adapting and retaining a strategic advantage. Warfighters will gain from enhanced system availability and increased proficiency in tackling intricate challenges.”

C5ISR platforms are designed, fused, and networked to elevate military operators’ and decision-makers’ situational awareness. Integrated C5ISR systems are subsequently deployed to military bases across the U.S. and internationally, where personnel are trained to utilize the systems’ full potential. As part of this contract, BAE Systems will offer post-deployment support and sustainment, which includes executing various technical enhancements and cybersecurity fortification; in-service engineering; and logistical assistance to end-users stationed at U.S. government facilities.
