The State Department has reached a conclusion endorsing a potential Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Iraq for C-172 and AC/RC-208 Aircraft Contractor Logistics Support and Training, along with associated equipment, at an estimated cost of $140 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency has provided the necessary certification to inform Congress of this potential sale today.

The Government of Iraq has expressed a desire to acquire Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and training to enhance its C-172 and AC/RC-208 aircraft fleet. This includes advisory services, technical assistance, and proficiency training for Iraqi maintenance personnel and flight crews; CLS; spare parts, repair components, associated accessories, and maintenance and return support; minor adjustments and upgrades; subscription services; overhaul and depot-level maintenance and support; as well as engineering, technical, and logistics services from the U.S. Government and contractors; along with other associated logistics and program support elements. The estimated total expense is $140 million.
