Heléne Bittmann Takes the Helm as Saab’s New UAE Managing Director
On 1 January 2024, Heléne succeeded Anna-Karin Rosén, who has played a crucial role in enhancing Saab UAE’s market presence and operations since her appointment in 2018.
Prior to this role, Heléne was the Head of Saab AB’s fully-owned manufacturing and development center located in Abu Dhabi’s Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP), where she was accountable for managing the organization’s operations, defining its strategic vision, and expanding its market share and product range.
“Heléne offers a vast array of expertise to the position and is a genuine leader with a strong passion for excellence. As we stay devoted to our mission as an active participant and advocate for the UAE’s defense sector, we firmly believe that Heléne will expedite the progress of our growth initiatives and bolster our regional presence,” comments Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance.
With the rank of Major, Heléne has served in the Swedish Armed Forces, where she has built a notable career with extensive experience across diverse roles at tactical, operational, and strategic tiers.
