“Unveiling the SHERPA APC: A Revolutionary Showcase by BRI at Milipol Paris 2023”
The severity of the risks encountered by law enforcement and internal security is steadily escalating. These threats are becoming increasingly numerous and varied, encompassing kinetic projectiles, drones, improvised explosive devices, incendiary munitions, and even heavy artillery wielded by well-equipped and hostile groups across different areas of the globe.
Arquus provides adaptable and modular vehicles within its Defense and Security collections that can react to or adjust for diverse missions. Among the standout vehicles in this assortment, the SHERPA APC in its Police model will be highlighted at the Milipol exhibition from November 14 to 17, 2023. Recognized as a benchmark in the armored 4×4 category for numerous years, the SHERPA family has been evaluated in various terrains and by many international military forces, including in France, during NATO missions, in the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.

It is clear that the SHERPA has already demonstrated its efficacy in diverse scenarios, particularly where law enforcement and security are top national concerns. In the configuration displayed at Milipol 2023, the SHERPA APC Police offers capacity for up to 10 personnel, augmented defense, and exceptional mobility capabilities. This SHERPA APC has been utilized, notably by the police units of the Brigade for Research and Intervention (BRI), during the recent civil disturbances in France.
In an alternate configuration, the SHERPA assault ladder can be fitted with a ladder extending up to 8.5 meters with its self-sufficient ramp. For instance, this vehicle was deployed by the GIGN (National Gendarmerie Intervention Group) during the January 2015 attacks.

During the recent phase of the pursuit launched after the assault on the Charlie Hebdo headquarters a few days earlier, this vehicle played a critical role in dislodging the Kouachi brothers from the printing facility in Dammartin-en Goël following several hours of confrontation.
Furthermore, the SHERPA is capable, through its ladder, of boarding an Airbus A380 in case of a hostage scenario. This ladder features an advanced protective system, ensuring that intervention personnel are as secure as possible.

In light of upcoming sporting events in France and considering the Vigipirate context along with heightened threat levels, the demand for armored personnel carriers (APC) is becoming substantially significant. The Arquus lineup provides multiple configurations for such vehicles with protection levels tailored to all types of missions.
