
Unleashing Innovation: FNSS, TSD, Grupo Oesía, and John Cockerill Defense Forge Alliance for Groundbreaking 6×6 Cavalry Vehicle for Spain at FEINDEF 2025
– In a significant advancement towards enhancing Spain’s land combat capabilities, premier defense firms FNSS, TSD, Grupo Oesía, and John Cockerill Defense have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at FEINDEF 2025 to collaboratively present a next-generation 6×6 cavalry vehicle solution to the Spanish Army.
This strategic alliance merges state-of-the-art expertise in armored vehicle development, turret systems, sophisticated optronics, and local production capabilities to provide a deployable, technologically superior military vehicle customized for contemporary battlefield demands.
As per the agreement, the entities will join forces in the following domains:
• Vehicle production and assembly
• Armored vehicle architecture
• Optronic system provision
• Manned turret integration
The collaborative offering will equip the Spanish Army with a military off-the-shelf solution that encompasses localized integrated logistics support and thorough lifecycle management.
Enhancing Domestic Industry and Technological Superiority
TSD, a Spanish firm boasting over 25 years of experience and more than 15,000 vehicles delivered globally, will spearhead local vehicle assembly and manufacturing.
Grupo Oesía, a distinguished Spanish multinational focusing on dual-use digital and industrial engineering, will add value with its advanced proficiencies in optronics, secure communications, simulations, and UAV systems.
FNSS, a renowned Turkish manufacturer of land systems, contributes its extensive portfolio in wheeled and tracked armored combat vehicles, engineering solutions, and unmanned systems.
John Cockerill Defense, celebrated for its military engineering prowess, will incorporate its TRL 9-certified 3030 manned turret, featuring a 30mm airburst-capable weapon system, STANAG 4569 Level 4 shielding, and 250 ready-to-fire rounds—delivering 20% additional firepower compared to similar systems.

Tailored specifically for cavalry and expeditionary missions, the 6×6 armored platform fuses high survivability, mobility, and lethality. More than 300 units of the 3030 turret have already been produced, deployed, and operational in active service, underscoring its established reliability and performance.
This MoU not only symbolizes a united commitment to facilitating the modernization of the Spanish Armed Forces but also fortifies industrial collaboration within Europe’s defense industry.
