Saab Unveils Its Second Groundbreaking GlobalEye Aircraft
In April 2020, Saab successfully delivered the first GlobalEye aircraft to the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant milestone as the UAE ordered a total of three GlobalEye aircraft, following an initial contract signed in late 2015.
“The swift completion of the second GlobalEye delivery within five months underscores Saab’s exceptional in-house capabilities as both an aircraft manufacturer and a sensor provider. GlobalEye represents Saab’s cutting-edge airborne early warning and control solution, offering a unified platform for air, maritime, and ground surveillance. This innovative system integrates Saab’s state-of-the-art Erieye Extended Range Radar alongside a suite of advanced sensors, all mounted on the ultra-long-range Global 6000 aircraft from Bombardier.
