EDGE Partners with PT Pindad to Launch Innovative Ammunition Production Line
EDGE, recognized as one of the premier advanced technology and defense conglomerates globally, inked a USD 27 million (AED 99 million) contract today to provide an ammunition manufacturing line to PT Pindad, an Indonesian state-owned enterprise and a leading defense producer in Asia.
The contract pertains to the manufacturing of 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm caliber ammunition, aligning with the Indonesian Ministry of Defence’s aim to bolster local employment opportunities and enhance domestic production capabilities. The ammunition facility is planned to initiate production in 2026.
This agreement is part of a continuous initiative between both nations aimed at escalating bilateral commerce to USD 10 billion by 2030 under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
