HAVELSAN Enhances Boeing 737 MAX Simulator Lineup with New Partnership from Turkish Airlines

Ankara, Türkiye-based flight simulation developer HAVELSAN is thrilled to announce that Turkish Airlines has placed a subsequent order for an extra Boeing 737 MAX Full Flight Simulator, with an expected delivery in January 2026.

According to the agreement established with HAVELSAN in 2018, Turkish Airlines originally aimed to procure a total of eleven training systems, which included three A320neo/ceo, two B737 MAX Full Flight Simulators (FFS), and six Flight Training Devices (FTD). Presently, Turkish Airlines successfully operates two B737 MAX, two A320neo/ceo simulators, and one B737NG, the inaugural simulator acquired from HAVELSAN, all certified to EASA Level D standards. Furthermore, the dispatch of the last A320neo/CEO simulator, part of the prior contract, is projected for November 2025.

With this new order for a B737 MAX Full Flight Simulator, this will be the third B737 MAX and the seventh simulator overall produced by HAVELSAN for Turkish Airlines’ fleet. This latest acquisition underscores significant confidence in HAVELSAN’s Boeing B737 MAX pilot training equipment offerings.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Ahmet Bolat stated: “This supplementary order fortifies our strategic alliance with HAVELSAN, reflecting our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding pilot training. By upgrading our simulators with advanced and reliable technology, we ensure that our pilots uphold the exceptional safety and service standards that Turkish Airlines is renowned for.”

“We are thrilled to once more strengthen our partnership with Turkish Airlines through a new agreement for a third B737 MAX Full Flight Simulator. This unwavering trust from one of the world’s leading airlines is a remarkable testament to our proficiency and commitment to excellence,” remarked Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D., CEO of HAVELSAN.

Having solidified its presence in the simulation industry for 42 years, HAVELSAN is devoted to meeting the needs of Flight Simulator Training Devices both domestically and internationally, consistently delivering innovative solutions to its clients. The company is actively seeking additional airlines or training organization operators to share insights about its offerings and the unique advantages it can deliver.
