These adaptable helicopters are designed for a variety of military and security missions by the Tunisian Air Force.
“The Bell 412 is recognized as one of the most dependable platforms worldwide, and we are proud to support the Tunisian Air Force as it upgrades its fleet with this proven and versatile aircraft,” remarked Tim Evans, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa at Bell. “The SUBARU Bell 412EPX is gaining popularity as a global military platform, and we are thrilled to introduce it to the Middle East and Africa in collaboration with the Tunisian Air Force.”
This acquisition will greatly enhance the Tunisian Air Force’s rotary-wing fleet, which currently comprises 39 Bell aircraft, including Bell UH-1s, 205s, and OH-58s.
The agreement with Tunisia continues a trend of recent Bell 412 integrations into service with various international entities, such as the Japan Coast Guard, San Diego Fire and Rescue, the Ministry of Interior of Croatia, and the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior. “The Bell 412 is globally recognized for its flexibility and reliability, enabling operators to perform a broad spectrum of missions,” stated a representative from Bell Textron.
The SUBARU Bell 412EPX features impressive specifications, with a maximum internal weight limit of 12,200 lbs, an external weight limit of 13,000 lbs, and a cargo hook capability of 5,000 lbs. With a usable load of 5,385 lbs, the aircraft is ideally suited for a wide range of essential operations.
