IDV Delivers 785 Cutting-Edge Military Logistics Trucks to Fortify the Dutch Armed Forces
IDV has been granted the WTB tender by the Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT) of the Dutch Ministry of Defence for the provision and logistical support of 785 military logistics trucks. These vehicles will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Dutch Armed Forces and will be delivered from 2027 to 2029.
In accordance with the supply agreement, IDV will supply 8×8 and 6×4 military trucks in three variants: Semitrailer Tractor, Recovery, and Hook-lift, available with both armored and unarmored cabs. These trucks are distinguished by their outstanding mobility, maneuverability, and dependability, ensuring logistical uniformity across various platforms and multiple EU member nations. The contract also includes an optional batch of an additional 785 vehicles along with integrated logistical support for a minimum duration of 15 years.
This recent accolade signifies another crucial achievement in the ongoing collaboration between IDV and the Dutch Ministry of Defence, following the successful 12kN Manticore Project, which yielded an order of 1,283 MTV (Multirole Tactical Vehicle) units. IDV establishes itself as a reliable partner for the Dutch Armed Forces, reinforcing its status as a premier manufacturer of ground military platforms within Europe.
Claudio Catalano, CEO of IDV, remarked: “This notable accolade further strengthens IDV’s role as a significant contributor in the design, manufacturing, and provision of high-mobility protected vehicles for defense purposes. With more than 90 years of expertise, we remain dedicated to upholding the highest benchmarks of survivability, performance, reliability, and safety to meet the diverse requirements of the Dutch Armed Forces.”
