HAVELSAN Breathes New Life into Airbus A320 Simulator with Exciting EASA Certification Update at IFTC!
HAVELSAN, a flight simulator manufacturer headquartered in Ankara, Türkiye, has declared that another full flight simulator (FFS), an Airbus A320 managed by the full flight simulator training facility group International Flight Training Center (IFTC), a division of Gözen Holding, has once again achieved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification.
Established in 2008, IFTC is Türkiye’s first independent full flight simulator training center, with two training locations situated on separate continents (one in Istanbul and another in Antalya). These facilities are outfitted with five full flight simulators that support both Airbus A320 and Boeing B737NG aircraft models.
IFTC is recognized globally for its role in assisting various airlines and stakeholders with their pilot training requirements. In May 2024, IFTC announced a contract for a HAVELSAN manufactured Airbus A320 NEO/CEO full flight simulator featuring three engine options, showcasing HAVELSAN’s ability to provide pilot training centers with state-of-the-art flexible and swift solutions for training tools.
The assembly and assessment of the device were finalized within a month, successfully achieving EASA Level D certification and becoming operational for training in July 2024.
Committed to helping IFTC expand its pilot training infrastructure, HAVELSAN aims to boost Türkiye’s standing as a leading global pilot training hub by supplying additional training equipment to ensure exceptional and efficient training capacity.
Currently, HAVELSAN is producing several Airbus A320 full flight simulators, with intentions to deliver two additional units to clients in 2025.
