Arquus Limoges Secures €800K Boost for Innovative Logistics Hub!
On May 11, 2022, Mrs. Fabienne BUCCIO, the Prefect of the New Aquitaine region, conferred upon Arquus an extraordinary grant on behalf of the State to facilitate industrial investment within the localities. This declaration occurred during an evening event honoring the recipients of the “Territoires d’Industrie” (Territories of Industry) project call held at the prefectural residence in Bordeaux.

Ms. BUCCIO underscored the resolute dedication of the State to expedite industrial initiatives, the advancement of trades, and industrial enterprises in the regions. She also highlighted France’s commitments towards sustainable development and decarbonization targets for 2030, which require the involvement of all economic stakeholders within the locality.
In acknowledgment of this backing and dedication, this grant has been allocated to Arquus. It aims to facilitate the establishment of the new Arquus logistics platform in Limoges, which will be the future cornerstone of the Arquus Center of Excellence for Vehicle Production.
In alignment with Arquus’ industrial growth strategy, investments are being channeled into the Limoges facility to ensure its continuous enhancement within the company’s industrial ecosystem. The site presently relies on an external logistics platform, complicating logistical operations. However, with the introduction of this new platform, the Arquus location in Limoges will enjoy contemporary logistics that can adeptly support the production workshop in tackling future challenges. Construction of the logistics platform commenced at the end of 2021 and is set to continue through 2022, with the official inauguration planned for 2023.
This grant symbolizes the State’s acknowledgment of the significance of Arquus’ mission for the benefit of the armed forces. It further indicates a confident outlook towards the Limoges facility, which is undergoing a crucial transformation aimed at refining its industrial capabilities and ensuring growth that is as harmonious as possible, thereby affecting the broader Limoges employment sphere.
With a workforce of 350 employees along with numerous partners and suppliers, predominantly from France, the Limoges site is a vital economic entity. Beyond vehicle production, it is tasked, in a consortium with partner companies Nexter and Thales, with assembling mobility kits for the Army’s Griffon and Jaguar, which entails preparing all parts and components required to guarantee the mobility of these vehicles.
Arquus is also a leader in the energy transition for land mobility, showcasing innovative prototypes such as the VAB Electer in 2016 and the Scarabee in 2018, recognized as the world’s first genuine hybrid military vehicle. Within the GME EBMR, Arquus is currently advancing the development of the Griffon hybrid, projected to be operational by 2025. Concurrently, the company is investing in hybridization solutions for a wide range of military vehicles, from reconnaissance units to battle tanks.
Arquus’ pledge to sustainable development is exemplified at the Limoges site by its ISO14001 certification and multiple initiatives promoting environmental stewardship. Situated on the banks of the Vienne River, the site has consistently endeavored to create a harmonious balance between enhancing industrial capacities for the armed forces and preserving an exceptional work environment.
