Germany Taps Saab for Advanced Anti-Ship Missile Solution
Saab has secured a contract from its German associate Diehl Defence for the RBS15 anti-ship missile intended for the German Navy. The contract is valued at roughly 1.7 BSEK, with deliveries scheduled from 2022 to 2026.
This contract forms a component of a framework agreement between Saab and Diehl Defence, permitting potential future acquisitions, where Saab’s portion could reach about 1.5 BSEK. The agreement enables orders to be placed until the conclusion of 2024.
The RBS15 missiles and launching systems included in this contract will be fitted on the German Navy’s Braunschweig Class corvettes. Alongside the missile systems, the order encompasses related equipment and services. The German Navy has utilized RBS15 since 2011.
“We are honored to continue aiding the German Navy with further RBS15 systems.
