EDGE Group Partners with Brazil’s Air Force to Advance Aerospace Innovation

EDGE Group PJSC (EDGE), recognized as one of the globe’s foremost advanced technology and defense conglomerates, has today revealed the formalization of a strategic partnership with the Brazilian Air Force’s Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), the nation’s premier military research institute for aviation and space exploration.

The official signing event occurred in the city of São José dos Campos as a segment of a high-profile EDGE delegation visit to Brazil, attended by distinguished members of EDGE’s executive team and the General Director of the Department of Aerospace Science & Technology, Air Force General Maurício Augusto de Medeiros.

Throughout their agenda, the delegation engaged with regional leaders and significant Brazilian industrial stakeholders, including SIATT and Turbomachine. These interactions are set to foster enhanced cooperation in knowledge sharing, research and development collaboration, and the joint creation of cutting-edge defense technologies, among other initiatives.

In accordance with the agreement, both entities will identify opportunities to collaboratively develop projects within the Air and Space, Smart Weapons, and unmanned and autonomous systems sectors, among additional domains. This agreement aligns seamlessly with EDGE’s strategic objective of forming mutually advantageous alliances that bolster defense capability advancement in the UAE and Latin America, where EDGE has recently inaugurated its inaugural international office in Brasilia.

Furthermore, EDGE recently disclosed a strategic collaboration pact with the Brazilian Navy to co-create a long-range anti-ship missile, alongside offering pioneering solutions such as anti-jamming technology, which is innovatively developed by EDGE in the UAE.
