“Trailblazing Together: How Exail, ADSB, and TII are Transforming Autonomous Mine-Clearing in the UAE”

Three organizations, Exail, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), are joining forces in the United Arab Emirates to create advanced robotic systems proficient in detecting and neutralizing underwater mines.

As part of this alliance, ADSB has successfully launched a new 17-meter vessel termed the 170M Detector. This craft is equipped with smart systems from Exail to effectively locate and safely eliminate mines.

Looking ahead, the triad of partners will collaboratively develop a groundbreaking type of unmanned surface vehicle (a crewless boat) called the Inspector 125 USV. This cutting-edge robotic vessel will harness TII’s autonomous navigation technology for maritime applications and Exail’s T-18 sonar to locate mines. This sonar technology replicates what Exail employs in its underwater drones, significantly enhancing the process of detecting and classifying mines.

This partnership signifies a crucial milestone for Exail in the UAE, showcasing the country’s aspiration to become a leader in integrating autonomous technologies into its naval forces. Representatives from Exail and TII expressed their enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing its importance in enhancing the safety and operational efficiency of naval missions through intelligent, integrated systems.
