Collins Aerospace, a sector of RTX, has obtained a contract from Boeing Defense to deliver 144 ACES II® ejection seats for the U.S. Air Force’s F-15EX fleet.
“The F-15EX is the most advanced Eagle ever developed, integrating cutting-edge technology with a proven airframe, which makes Collins’ ACES II ejection seat a perfect fit for this aircraft,” remarked Sharon Tabori, vice president and general manager of Integrated Mission Solutions at Collins Aerospace. “Our ACES series of ejection seats represents the safest option available thanks to the innovative technologies we’ve incorporated. Having it installed on the F-15EX will boost confidence among aircrew to perform their most challenging missions, reassured that their ejection seat will operate when necessary.”
Collins’ Advanced Concept Ejection Seat, known as ACES, has rescued over 700 lives since 1978. Currently, there are 6,000 ACES II seats in service across 29 air forces worldwide, including the U.S. Air Force’s A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, B-1, and B-2 fleets, along with all F-15s and F-16s globally.
