OSHKOSH DEFENSE MARKS A MILESTONE: 20,000 JLTVs ROLL OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE!
Oshkosh Defense LLC, a subsidiary of Oshkosh Corporation, has revealed the completion of the 20,000th Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV).
The assembly of the 20,000th JLTV highlights the exceptional proficiency of the Oshkosh team and their dedication to supporting the U.S. Armed Forces with the most advanced tactical wheeled vehicles available.
“Just a little over two years ago, we were commemorating our 10,000th JLTV rolling off the assembly line,” stated Tim Bleck, senior vice president of Oshkosh Corporation and president of Oshkosh Defense. “This illustrates that even amid a global health crisis and some of the toughest supply chain obstacles we’ve ever encountered, we have continually proven that Oshkosh is equipped to consistently deliver the JLTV to our customers.”
Ensuring that vehicles are delivered punctually and within budget has been a paramount objective for the Oshkosh Defense team since securing the initial contract in 2015. “The ongoing success of the JLTV initiative can undoubtedly be attributed to Oshkosh’s efficient production line, streamlined manufacturing techniques, resilient supply chain, and our exceptional team,” Bleck concluded.
Oshkosh Defense is currently anticipating a ruling from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) concerning its protest of the JLTV follow-on contract and its significant concerns about the assessment of financial, technical, and manufacturing competencies.
