“Surfing into the Future: CCCUE Unveils the Innovative Saab Seaeye Panther XTP for Its Fleet Expansion”
Saab UK has supplied and dispatched a brand-new Seaeye Panther XTP remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to CCC Underwater Engineering S.A.L (CCCUE), enhancing the company’s offshore inspection and construction capabilities across its international operations.
The acquisition of the Panther XTP was accomplished in January 2025, replacing CCCUE’s long-standing Panther 905, which was originally delivered in 2001. This follows the successful integration of another Panther XTP into CCCUE’s fleet in 2023, showcasing ongoing trust in the system’s effectiveness.
Established in 1976, CCCUE began as a commercial diving firm operating in the Arabian Gulf. Currently, the company has evolved into a comprehensive offshore construction service provider catering to the energy sector on a global scale. With this recent procurement, CCCUE now oversees a fleet of nine Saab Seaeye ROVs.
Tavis Letherby, Survey / ROV Manager at CCCUE, commented:
“We have partnered with Saab Seaeye vehicles for over two decades, and their reliability has been essential to our operations. The Panther XTP’s proven performance, coupled with its user-friendly design, makes it an outstanding choice for the complex requirements of our projects.”
Jon Robertson, Managing Director at Saab Seaeye, expressed:
“CCCUE’s continuous investment in the Panther XTP underscores the system’s value to operators in the offshore energy industry. We are proud to assist CCCUE’s ambitions with reliable, high-performance vehicles that meet the practical needs of global offshore projects.”
The Panther XTP is a compact, durable ROV designed for a wide range of offshore inspection and intervention tasks. It has a reputation for excellent performance in challenging environments.
