Introducing the Exciting New Guardian 30 by Escribano M&E!
Escribano Mechanical and Engineering’s innovative Remote Weapon System (RWS) development GUARDIAN 30, specifically tailored for the contemporary Spanish Army project VCR 8×8 Dragon vehicle, has triumphantly achieved its initial real-world shooting assessment. The 2-axes gyro-stabilized RWS, mounted on a VCR Piranha vehicle, has successfully conducted both static and dynamic tests, affirming its readiness to engage in the Defense sector.
Escribano’s cutting-edge manufacturing capacity has enabled GUARDIAN 30 to be an exceptionally lightweight station in comparison to its rivals. With high customizability due to its modular design, the GUARDIAN 30 structure facilitates maintenance and enhances reliability.
Escribano’s ground system, GUARDIAN 30, features as its primary armament an ATK Orbital MK 44S. This rigorously tested 30 mm cannon can also be modified to 40 mm (currently integrated on the naval RWS SENTINEL 30, in active service with the BAP PISCO of the Peruvian Army, and which will soon be present on the “SERVIOLA” Spanish Army vessels).
Equipped with the latest technology in ballistic calculation, it achieves precision in long-range shooting. The shooting system is bolstered by two state-of-the-art electro-optical systems based on the renowned OTEOS electro-optical technology developed by ESCRIBANO. This system is widely employed by military forces and state security agencies globally for reconnaissance and operational missions.
The most sophisticated sensors and cameras empower GUARDIAN 30 to function in all weather scenarios, whether for daytime or nighttime operations, enhancing its capabilities for detection, recognition, surveillance, and precision. Furthermore, this electro-optical system is well-suited for hunter-killer missions. The RWS GUARDIAN 30 incorporates embedded simulation to ensure optimal and rapid gunner training.
Since its announcement, GUARDIAN 30 has surpassed global expectations. Numerous clients, particularly from the MENA region where EM&E maintains a strategic advantage, have expressed keen interest in procuring this RWS, which is compatible with a wide array of platforms and configurations.
GUARDIAN 30 will be showcased at IDEX 21 from February 21st to 25th in Abu Dhabi, where all attendees will have the opportunity to witness this advanced 30 mm Remote Weapon Station. Moreover, visitors can explore other innovations such as ASPIS, the lightest land RWS available in the market, and the FGK system, which provides guidance for unguided rockets and artillery shells.
