ADSB and SIATT Team Up to Enhance RABDAN FA-400 with Cutting-Edge MANSUP Missile System
The EDGE Group entity ADSB, a regional frontrunner in the design, fabrication, repair, upkeep, renovation, and transformation of both naval and commercial vessels, has entered into a tactical agreement with SIATT, a Brazilian expert in intelligent munitions and cutting-edge defence technologies, in which EDGE possesses a 50% share. This arrangement formalizes the incorporation of the sophisticated MANSUP Surface-to-Surface Missile (SSM) launcher onto ADSB’s RABDAN FA-400 Fast Attack vessel, outfitting it with a precise, long-range missile system devised for contemporary naval warfare.
The agreement was executed by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, alongside Paulo Salvador, Commercial Director of SIATT, at EURONAVAL 2024 in Paris, which will continue until 8 November.
David Massey, CEO of ADSB, remarked: “Our recently unveiled RABDAN FA-400, produced entirely in the UAE, exemplifies our dedication to high-performance, national maritime solutions and highlights the significant synergy within EDGE companies. By integrating SIATT’s advanced MANSUP missile launcher, we are augmenting the vessel’s strike potential, providing a sophisticated and resilient platform designed to address the evolving requirements of contemporary defence.”
Paulo Salvador stated: “This partnership signifies a crucial advancement for SIATT into the UAE’s burgeoning defence industry. Collaborating with ADSB enables us to deploy SIATT’s state-of-the-art missile systems to a UAE-manufactured vessel, reinforcing our pledge to enhance the UAE’s defence framework. This coalition emphasizes the importance we place on establishing robust partnerships within the region, delivering innovative, high-performance solutions crafted for the strategic necessities of our partners and the UAE market, and represents a significant milestone in SIATT’s global outreach.”
The RABDAN FA-400, armed with the MANSUP missile system, will be featured at the Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX), scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 17-21 February 2025.
