KAPLAN MT: The Sole User-Qualified Turkish Medium Tank Deployed with an Army

The KAPLAN MT distinguishes itself as the inaugural tank-class platform serially produced in Türkiye and now part of an army’s arsenal. Co-developed by FNSS and PT Pindad as part of the Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement established between Türkiye and Indonesia.

Featuring a command control system and a laser warning mechanism that enhance tactical awareness for the vehicle commander, the KAPLAN MT represents a cutting-edge platform with formidable firepower capabilities and state-of-the-art technologies. Its design architecture includes sophisticated ballistic and mine protection systems, facilitating the utilization of a variety of firepower options. Moreover, it incorporates the Pulat active protection system.

Marine Assault Vehicle Now Operational with the NAVY

The Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV), to be displayed alongside the CAKA Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RWS) at IDEF, has recently become the first domestically manufactured armored combat vehicle in the Turkish Navy’s inventory. MAV efficiently traverses distances during ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship, and shore-to-shore operations, enabling units to swiftly disembark under protective cover and fire support. Designed by FNSS to meet marine infantry requirements, MAV is a cutting-edge amphibious vehicle available in four distinct variants: Personnel Carrier, Command Vehicle, Recovery Vehicle, and Mine Breaching Vehicle.

PARS IV 6×6 S-Ops Vehicle: The Sole Chosen & Deployed 6×6 Wheeled Armoured Vehicle by the Turkish Armed Forces

The PARS IV 6×6 Special Operations Vehicle, featured at the FNSS booth with the SANCAK Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RWS), is currently operational with the Turkish Army Special Forces Command. It stands as the first 6×6 armored vehicle imported into the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory. The PARS IV 6×6 is designed to surpass its predecessors in terms of mission gear, situational awareness features, mobility, firepower, and protection against mines, IEDs, artillery splinters, and heavy machine gun rounds. The vehicle incorporates two independent SANCAK RWS systems developed by FNSS. The weapon stations are equipped with a universal gun mount, allowing for the deployment of 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine guns, and 40 mm automatic grenade launchers, which may be adjusted based on operational requirements.

This vehicle is outfitted with next-gen mission equipment ensuring combat efficiency, safer route navigation, command/control, and rapid targeting. It has been meticulously designed to transport special operations units to their objectives in areas with potential threats while providing fire support to deployed units on the battlefield. The vehicle boasts high ballistic, mine, and IED protection levels, complemented by the RPG net designed to shield the crew and powerpack against unpredictable threats where the timing and intensity can’t be anticipated.

PARS SCOUT 8×8 Special Purpose Vehicle: The Sole Selected 8×8 Wheeled Armoured Vehicle by the Turkish Armed Forces

Visitors at the FNSS stand will have the chance to experience the 8×8 variant of the PARS SCOUT family, showcased for the first time at IDEF with a 25mm Remote-Controlled Turret. Developed under the Special Purpose Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicles project initiated with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) to meet the Turkish Armed Forces’ requirements, the PARS SCOUT 8×8 is exceptionally crafted for reconnaissance and internal security operations, providing tactical benefits to users with its enhanced situational awareness.

This vehicle excels in high mobility across diverse terrains, superior ballistic and mine protection, and integrates modern technological advancements. FNSS is set to supply 6×6 and 8×8 variants to the Turkish Land Forces and Gendarmerie through the domestic development model. As the first 8×8 wheeled armoured vehicle family to join the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory, production is currently ongoing as per the program timeline. The PARS SCOUT features a two-person driver compartment at the forefront, shielded by ballistic glass, and offers a broad horizontal field of view, ensuring high safety, situational awareness, and comfort. Cameras installed at the front and rear provide exceptional visibility for the driver and commander in both day and night conditions. The PARS SCOUT not only meets the protective standards of mine-resistant vehicles designed for troop transportation but also distinguishes itself by incorporating the expected agility of a contemporary armored combat vehicle. The modular integration of vehicle subsystems with its mine-resistant hull guarantees ease of maintenance and swift replacements, enhancing its advantages over predecessors.
