Abu Dhabi, UAE: 12 December, 2023 – EDGE, a prominent leader in advanced technology and defence sectors, welcomed an esteemed group of senior officials from the São Paulo Government at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Throughout their stay in the UAE, the delegation engaged in a series of discussions with EDGE Group executives and other important Abu Dhabi stakeholders, aiming to establish potential strategic alliances and enhance cooperation with the State of Sao Paulo as well as the greater region.

H.E. Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of the Board of Directors at EDGE Group, alongside Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, hosted the delegation, which was spearheaded by Lucas Ferraz, Secretary of International Affairs for the Sao Paulo State Government. Lucas Ferraz, Secretary of International Affairs for the Sao Paulo State Government, remarked: “We are thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the results of our visit to the EDGE Group headquarters in Abu Dhabi. As one of the rapidly growing advanced technology and defence conglomerates, the opportunities for EDGE to strengthen its collaboration with the State of Sao Paulo across both military and commercial domains are substantial. While this visit’s joint discussions concentrated on the adoption of renewable resources and potential investments in our multibillion-dollar infrastructure portfolio, our next goal is to return with a larger delegation from Sao Paolo to formalize partnerships in the UAE – particularly with EDGE Group.”

This recent engagement signifies a vital progression in the group’s ambition to cement partnerships with the State of Sao Paolo and other key allies in Brazil, a strategically crucial market for EDGE. The group’s aspirations to expand in the region are part of an extensive initiative to bolster local and national capabilities in Brazil, as well as cultivate an environment for the further advancement of cutting-edge defence technologies for international trade.
