Milanion Joins Forces with JODDB for Innovative Electric Propulsion USV Transformation
Milanion, via its UAE division, has been chosen by JODDB, an institution founded by a royal edict in 1999, as an autonomous military/civilian entity for the conversion of an Electric Propulsion Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). Following the delivery of the initial USV transformation, the goal of this collaboration is aimed at significantly advancing capabilities for USV conversions.
The contract was formalized at the World Defence Show in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Brig Gen. Eng. Ayman Al Batran, CEO of JODDB, and Mitesh Purohit, Vice President of Sales at Milanion Technologies.
Mitesh Purohit stated, “We anticipate fortifying our collaboration with JODDB in the realms of autonomous technologies and platforms.” He further commented, “The utilization of USVs can significantly boost mission effectiveness and personnel security. Integrating USVs into operations can greatly enhance the identification rates of illegal activities, minimize response intervals, and improve overall surveillance efficiency.”
Current hostilities and risks in various regions have spurred the demand for USVs, with the global market for unmanned surface vessels witnessing notable expansion, propelled by technological innovations and varied applications. Projections suggest the market will increase from USD 2.13 billion in 2023 to USD 2.89 billion by 2030, reflecting a CAGR of 4.4% throughout the forecast duration.
