An aviation simulator manufacturer based in Ankara, Turkey, has delivered an Airbus A320 full flight simulator to the Antalya-based training center of the internationally esteemed simulator training organization IFTC, a division of Gözen Holding, in May. The installation of this advanced equipment has been completed, and the site acceptance testing is presently underway.
Founded in 2008, IFTC is Turkey’s pioneering independent full flight simulator training establishment, featuring two training sites located on different continents (one in Istanbul and another in Antalya). The centers operate five full flight simulators that include both Airbus A320 and Boeing B737NG aircraft types. IFTC is globally recognized for supporting a variety of airlines and stakeholders in their pilot training requirements.
The acquisition of the HAVELSAN Airbus A320 full flight simulator by IFTC was announced earlier in May, underscoring HAVELSAN’s proficiency in providing pilot training centers with state-of-the-art, flexible, and rapid solutions for training devices.
In May, a HAVELSAN-produced Airbus A320 full flight simulator also achieved the first EASA certification of 2024, with the equipment being utilized by an airline in Turkey. Throughout 2023, multiple HAVELSAN Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators received EASA Level D Certification. Furthermore, in March 2024, HAVELSAN declared intentions to expand its operations and extend support for airlines and simulator training centers, including the capability to manufacture up to eight full flight simulators each year and collaborating with airlines to optimize their simulator training functions with customizable solutions.
