Spanish Companies Land Significant SPY-7 Radar Deal with Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin, a prominent aerospace and defense corporation, has granted procurement contracts to Indra, Escribano Mechanical and Engineering, and ICM (Integral de Conexión y Montajes, S.L.) for AN/SPY-7(V)2 components designed for the F-110 frigate.

As a component of Lockheed Martin’s commitment to strengthen its global procurement framework, these contracts aim to integrate Spain into the corporation’s broad SPY-7 supply chain, enhancing resilience and escalating production capabilities.

The Legacy

Lockheed Martin and Spanish industry have united to produce over 90 water coolers and auxiliary equipment, 30,000 cables, 1.8 m power supplies, in addition to microelectronics and RF components for the international SPY-1 fleet.

For more than two decades, Lockheed Martin has worked closely with Spanish industry on radar technology and naval and airborne computing systems.
