Ammotec Elevates Its Offerings: Introducing ELCAN Target Scopes to the Collection
Alongside the premium-quality target optics of the Tangent Theta brand, Armament Technology will now also exclusively market ELCAN target optics through Ammotec in the defense and governmental sectors. This will further fortify the collaboration between the two firms.
Canadian optics and targeting system manufacturer Armament Technology has been a principal distributor for ELCAN target optics since 1994. Presently, the organization is once again leveraging Ammotec’s extensive European dealer network. “We are thrilled to engage with Ammotec for the ELCAN brand as well. The entire Ammotec team exhibits a high level of professionalism with years of experience and a well-established, robust dealer network,” stated Trevor Publicover, Vice President of Sales at Armament Technology. At the beginning of this year, Ammotec and Armament Technology already formed an exclusive distribution alliance, which initially covered the distribution of the company’s flagship brand, Tangent Theta.
ELCAN’s targeting optics are crafted for military functions and serve as solutions for use by armed forces and law enforcement agencies globally. The ELCAN Specter DR, for instance, amalgamates the benefits of a red dot sight with those of a compact rifle optic. It has indeed become renowned as the inaugural rifle optic that permits magnification alteration with the mere throw of a lever while preserving the breakpoint, focus, and field of view (dual-view configuration).
“ELCAN’s optical systems are tailored for soldiers and rigorously tested for these missions. Each of the systems performs at critical moments, allowing the shooter to fully focus on their target. This is the benchmark we establish for all our products, and we are pleased to actively assist our clients with the ELCAN brand regarding precision, accuracy, hit probability, and hit rate,” remarked René Hauser, Senior Director of Business Development & Portfolio at RUAG Ammotec DLE. All Armament Technology products are offered at Ammotec exclusively via the Defence & Law Enforcement business division and are designed for military and governmental applications.
Armament Technology
The parent enterprise, Armament Technology, was established in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in the late 1980s and has served as a specialized collaborator in the domain of optics and targeting systems since the mid-1990s. The company has overseen the marketing and support of ELCAN target optics since 1994. Building upon this foundation, the organization actively focused on the fundamentals and challenges of this product category, swiftly recognizing the enhancement potential in the design and functionality of targeting optics. Noteworthy instances of this include the advanced solutions for tracking weapon systems and the innovation of the “zero” position.
