Design and Ergonomic Advantages
The “METE SFT” is a full-sized 9mm handgun, providing remarkable accuracy and user comfort. This variant is designed for effective use at distances of up to 40 – 50 meters, making it dependable for both long-range and close-quarters combat. Its well-balanced weight distribution and extended barrel enable users to handle recoil more effectively, thus enhancing the firearm’s precision and usability.

Safety and Functional Features
A crucial safety aspect of the “METE SFT” is its striker status indicator, which allows users to feel by touch whether the striker is cocked. This feature is vital for nighttime missions or high-stakes scenarios. Such design enables operators to concentrate on their target without the necessity for visual checks of the handgun. This model also includes a loaded chamber indicator, allowing users to identify whether a round is chambered, providing an added layer of situational awareness and operational safety.

Innovative Structure for Tactical Flexibility
A noteworthy feature of the “METE SFT” is its slanted rear sight. In situations where an operator might have impaired use of one hand—such as from a combat injury—this angled sight allows the user to reload using their belt or another stable surface. In addition, the handgun is compatible with optics, supporting the installation of red-dot sights for co-witness aiming, successfully combining both optical and traditional sights to improve targeting.

Ammunition Capacity and Legal Aspects
The standard ammunition capacity of the firearm is 18 rounds, with the potential to increase it to 20 rounds, depending on regional laws. In Turkey, for example, firearm magazines are restricted to 19 rounds for military usage, while regulations differ globally—10 rounds in Australia, for instance, and as many as 20 rounds in the United States.

The “METE SFT” has swiftly become an indispensable tool for the Turkish Armed Forces, blending accuracy, safety, and versatility for operational deployment. This combination of advanced functionalities makes it an exceptionally effective choice for military operations.
