
BAE Systems Powers Up Georgia Cyber Center with New Investment
BAE Systems is broadening its presence at the Georgia Cyber Center in Augusta, Ga., with a newly finalized lease agreement.
The lease ensures an extra 17,000 square feet of office space that will further enhance the company’s innovative offerings, solidify its local collaborations, and furnish space for in-demand cybersecurity and technology positions. Situated on the Nathan Deal Campus for Innovation in downtown Augusta, this center is a unique public/private partnership encompassing academia, law enforcement, government, U.S. Army, and the private sector.
“We are dedicated to supporting our clients’ objectives by delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower mission success,” stated Peder Jungck, vice president and general manager of BAE Systems Intelligence Solutions division. “Our expansion at the Georgia Cyber Center allows us to better fulfill those missions and advance research and development in cybersecurity, information technology, and advanced analytics. Furthermore, this growth permits us to engage, recruit, and educate talent within the Augusta and Fort Gordon region.”
Employing nearly 500 professionals in Fort Gordon and Augusta, BAE Systems ranks as one of the foremost defense contractors in the region. The new office will generate room for up to 200 additional positions, and the organization is actively seeking individuals with clearances and expertise in cybersecurity, networks, IT infrastructure operations, multilevel security, and cloud computing.
