Unleashing Innovation: SIATT and the Brazilian Navy Forge a Powerful Tech Alliance for MANSUP

SIATT and the Brazilian Navy, through the Navy’s Directorate of Armament Systems, have achieved a binding agreement for the interchange of technology relevant to the MANSUP (National Surface-to-Surface Anti-Ship Missile) armament framework. This contract grants the company, upon the payment of royalties, the authority to utilize, manufacture, market, and provide services, both domestically and globally, for technologies linked to MANSUP.

The contract was ratified in March during an event held at the auditorium of the Technological Innovation Park in São José dos Campos, where SIATT is situated.

The event was graced by the presence of Admiral Edgar Luiz Siqueira Barbosa, the General Director of Naval Material, Vice-Admiral Rodrigo Otavio Fernandes de Hônkis, Consultant for Defense Material Industries Affairs, and Rear Admiral Carlos Henrique Lima Zampieri, Director of Armament Systems of the Navy (DSAM). Also present were Azhaury Cunha Filho, the Board Chairman, along with Rogerio Salvador, the CEO of SIATT, and Marcos Degaut, the CEO of EDGE Brasil.

The SIATT personnel involved in the advancement of MANSUP were also present at the gathering.

During the ceremony, Rear Admiral Zampieri highlighted the importance of this pact for the MANSUP project.

“This pivotal milestone today will secure the essential flow of operations and resources necessary for the successful realization of the MANSUP missile project. This extensive initiative will swiftly facilitate the advancement of the long-range MANSUP, enhancing our technological capabilities for defense and protection of our Blue Amazon,” stated the DSAM director.

Rear Admiral Zampieri concluded his speech by expressing appreciation toward the SIATT team. “At this moment, I want to express my gratitude, not only from a sense of duty but out of genuine thankfulness to everyone engaged in the MANSUP endeavor: you courageous, talented, and dedicated Brazilians, who have conquered the challenge of innovation through commitment and transformed this once distant aspiration into a reality.”

Admiral Edgar further praised the dedication of the experts involved in the MANSUP initiative. “It’s inspiring to see this auditorium filled with numerous SIATT employees, commemorating this significant moment—the achievements that have come to fruition, the numerous milestones accomplished, and the hurdles that have been surmounted over the years. We owe our thanks to SIATT alongside EDGE Group, who believed in this undertaking, along with Fundação Ezute and Omnisys. This is a historic and deeply rewarding occasion. Congratulations to all for this success, and let us continue to work together to make our dreams a reality,” remarked the Director-General.

SIATT CEO Rogerio Salvador, visibly moved, reflected on the entire journey of the MANSUP initiative and articulated five emotions that encapsulate the essence of the ceremony: gratitude, perseverance, achievement, trust, and joy. “This is not the work of one individual, but a collective endeavor of a hundred contributors from diverse backgrounds—from the Navy, the operators, the collaborating companies, and SIATT. It is a joint creation of many brilliant minds who have dedicated their skills, talents, and passion to this project,” emphasized Salvador.
