
Leadership Transition Underway at Electronics Powerhouse HENSOLDT
HENSOLDT AG, a leader in defence electronics, has commenced the forthcoming transition at the company’s helm: The appointed CEO Oliver Dörre, formerly CEO of Thales Deutschland GmbH, has embraced his role on the Executive Board of HENSOLDT AG and is gearing up to assume leadership from the former HENSOLDT CEO Thomas Müller, which is set to occur on 1 April 2024.

Oliver Dörre possesses a degree in computer science and has been the CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board at Thales Germany since 1 January 2021. Before his tenure at Thales, which began in 2015, he spent nearly five years at Frequentis AG, holding numerous leadership roles. As the leader of the Defence business unit, he oversaw international military sales, project and product management, as well as development in the Defence sector. From 1988 to 2010, Dörre served as a general staff officer in the German Air Force, concluding his career as a policy officer and deputy head of department with the rank of lieutenant colonel i.G. within the planning division of the Ministry of Defence.
